About David Wind

David Wind, talking at an Author Event in New YorkI began writing in 1979 and since then have published thirty-two novels of suspense, adventure, science fiction, historical fiction and romance.

Living and writing in Chestnut Ridge, New York, I share my house with my wife, Bonnie and my daughter Alana, one of our three children,  (Our son Zach is living in NYC and working on the CBS show 48 Hours.  Our daughter Devon is living in New Jersey and teaching school.)  We have two glass goldfish ( 'cause Bonnie can't keep the real ones alive too long) and a Garter snake who lives somewhere under the front steps.

My suspence thrillers are The Hyte Maneuver, (a Literary guild alternate selection), As peace Lay Dying, and Conspiracy of Mirrors and were originally written under the pen name David Milton.  For mystery suspense novels, And Down will Come Baby, Now I lay me down to sleep and Shadows, I borrowed my wife's maiden name, Bonnie Faber.

Coop,  was a mainstream novel about the lives of the people inhabiting a New York City Cooperative Apartment Building.

Queen of Knights, a medieval fantasy, and The Others were my entry into fantasy and Science Fiction.

AT the start of my writing career, I published almost two dozen historical and contemporary romance novels under the pseudonyms of Monica Barrie and Jenifer Dalton.

In 1988, I was honored by Science Fiction writer and Hugo Award Grand Master Andre Norton, with the inclusion of a short Story in Andre Norton's Tales of the Witch World 2 Anthology Series.
